Eligibility

All graduates of the University.

Criteria

Open to all graduates of the University; the individual should be outstanding in their chosen field.

Nominations

Nominations are solicited from the deans of the academic colleges and the chancellors of the Penn State campuses in consultation with department chairpersons and faculty.

Selecting Body

The selection committee includes, but is not limited to, the provost of the University, an academic dean and chancellor, the vice president for development and alumni relations, the vice president of university relations, chair of the Alumni Council Awards Committee, and the executive director of the Alumni Association.

Timeline

Nomination materials are available online. Nominations are due during the month of January. Selections are made in February. Visits are arranged through the sponsoring college(s)and campus(es) for the following fall. The award is presented to the recipient in a formal ceremony at a reception and dinner hosted by the President of the University.
