Individual Awards: Alumni Fellow

Number of Awards
Varies, averaging 18 to 25 per year. In some instances, an academic college may sponsor additional Fellows during an academic year.

Eligibility
All graduates of the University.

Criteria
Open to all graduates of the University; the individual should be outstanding in their chosen field.

Nominations
Nominations are solicited from the deans of the academic colleges in consultation with department chairpersons and faculty. Click here to nominate an indiviudal for the Alumni Fellow Award.

Selecting Body
The selection committee includes, but is not limited to, the provost of the University, the vice president for development and university relations, the executive director of university relations, a member of Alumni Council, and the executive director of the Alumni Association.

Timeline
Nomination materials are available online. Nominations are due during the month of January (please refer to the timeline information for the official nomination deadline date). Selections are made in February. Visits are arranged through the sponsoring college(s) for the following fall. The award is presented to the recipient in a formal ceremony at a reception and dinner hosted by the President of the University.
