Career Planning : Career Planning & Exploration

Alumni Career Services is available for alums looking for a new job, thinking about changing careers or going on to graduate school, those transitioning out of the work place, and with other carrer-related issues. New college graduates can begin using Alumni Career Services three months after their graduation date.

Alumni CareerShape
Penn State alumni unhappy or frustrated in their careers can get help from the comfort of their own homes.

The Alumni CareerShape Webinar is an online learning program for alumni that runs for eight sessions. The Web-based seminar will help alumni looking to make a career change learn what matters most to them in their work life while developing attainable career goals and new or more focused career direction.

In addition to these 60-minute, real-time Web presentations, Alumni CareerShape will also include career planning materials, online assessments and interpretations, and a one-on-one session with an Alumni Career Services career counselor.

Alumni JOBSearch
Searching for a new job can be challenging. Penn State alumni can gain the tools they need through this four-session online program.

Alumni JOBSearch will include information on résumé writing, interviewing, and networking. During the four sessions alumni will explore the tools necessary to find a new job in the current job market.
