Get Involved

Becoming active in the Alumni Association as a volunteer is a selfless way to give back to the University and a way to reconnect with fellow alumni as well as students. Join other alumni who are working to improve their communities’ volunteer network and see how you can help make a positive difference for Penn State.

Volunteers make up our chapters, societies, Alumni Interest Groups (AIGs), Affiliate Program Groups (APGs), and Grassroots Network. They serve on our Alumni Council and Executive Board. They visit schools to recruit new Penn Staters. Our volunteers engage in projects throughout the year, interacting with Penn State campuses and current students by holding freshman sendoff events and other networking activities. They endow scholarships. They are involved in their local communities, spreading the spirit of Penn State service to those in need.
