FastStart

FastStart is a mentoring program designed to help first-year students from African American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian and Asian/Pacific American backgrounds, as well as those students who simply want to get their college careers off to a fast start.

If you are a Penn State alum, or a faculty/staff member, you have something to offer a student that can make a big difference...your wisdom. A mentoring triad of a faculty/staff member, an alum, and a first-year student is formed to help ensure that students flourish in their new environment to answer questions, direct students to resources, and offer support. Informal networks for career development can be built, too.
