Alumni Interest Groups (AIGs) give alumni a creative way to stay connected with the people they knew during their student years at Penn State. AIGs also give alumni a way to interact and network with folks with similar interests after they leave Penn State.
Penn State was among the first universities to sponsor groups organized by interests. AIGs have hosted networking luncheons, produced books like The Penn State Blue Band: A Century of Pride and Precision and The Collegian Chronicles, and organized reunions. Many AIGs have a strong student focus and work toward increasing interaction between alumni and students.
